Ted is a seasoned architect and founder of D&A Groupsynergy, Inc., with a diverse career spanning over four decades. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of San Agustin in 1982. From 1983 to 1986, Ted worked in Manila, collaborating with the renowned Architect Jorge Ramos on key institutional projects, including the GSIS Headquarters (now home to the Senate), the Lung Center, the Kidney Center, and the extensive renovation of Malacañang Palace.
In the wake of the EDSA People Power Revolution in 1986, Ted expanded his horizons internationally, moving to Brunei to specialize in high-end residential design. There, he had the rare privilege of working on the palaces of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Prince Jefri. This period proved transformative, as Ted collaborated with world-class designers, engineers, and project managers, while also traveling across Europe to design and source materials for projects in Venice, Milan, and London.
Five years in Brunei doing residential designs proved to be boring for Ted and in 1991 he decided to venture in Singapore and there, he earned valuable wIn 1991, seeking new challenges, Ted moved to Singapore, where he delved into commercial and retail design. His notable projects include the design of Takashimaya Department Store in Ngee Ann City and various boutique shops along Orchard Road, as well as spa outlets across the city. Ted’s expertise expanded into hospitality design when he joined Hirsch/Bedner, where he worked on prestigious hotel projects such as the Grand Hyatt Lobby Lounge in Singapore, The Residence Jakarta in Indonesia, The Regents in Kuala Lumpur, and the Gammarth Resort Hotel in Tunisia.
After returning to Manila in 1997, Ted began consulting and reconnected with his professional network. In 2001, he co-founded his first design firm, which allowed him to build a portfolio in the local corporate world. In 2008, Ted parted ways with his partners and launched D&A Groupsynergy, Inc., with a renewed vision to offer unparalleled design services that seamlessly cater to the evolving needs of his clients. Today, Ted continues to lead his company with a commitment to excellence and innovation, solidifying his legacy in the design industry.
