Ted is a graduate of BS Architecture from the University of San Agustin Batch 1982 He spent 4 years of designing work in Manila from 1983 to 1986 in collaboration with the team of Architect Jorge Ramos in the design of various institutional projects like the GSIS Headquarters where the senate is now housed, Lung Center, Kidney Center and the grand renovation of Malacanang Palace.

When EDSA 1 people power broke out in February 1986 Ted decided to venture out of the country and he found himself honing his skills in high-end residential design doing interiors of the palaces of the Royal Family of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Prince Jefri in Brunei and the rest is history.

In Brunei, Ted had the opportunity to work with world-class designers and engineering consultants and project managers from around the world which honed his skills further and given him the once in a lifetime opportunity to work and travel across Europe in Murano in Venice and Milan, Italy and in London where he designed and sources materials for the Sultan's residence in Hampstead area in London.

Five years in Brunei doing residential designs proved to be boring for Ted and in 1991 he decided to venture in Singapore and there, he earned valuable world class experience in commercial / retail design, he was involved in the design for Takashimaya Department Store in Ngee Ann City and other boutique shops like Kickers, Clarens Beauty Clinic and other botique shops along Orchard Road, Ted also designed various Spa outlets around Singapore. From retail/com mercial designs, Ted pursue his career in hospitality design when he joined the firm of Hirsch/Bedner Singapore where he handled several designs of the following hospitality projects:

The Grand Hyatt Lobby Lounge renovation in Scotts Road, Singapore; The Residence Jakarta in Indonesia, The Regents, KL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Gammarth Resort Hotel in Tunisia.

In 1997, after working and living in Singapore with his family, Ted decided to bring his family home in Manila for good where he started working on consultancy basis while trying to reconnect with his network of friends, and in 2001 he put up his first design firm in partnership with two friends of the same profession where he abled to build his port folio in the local corporate world until in 2008 where he decided to part ways with his business partners and decided to set up his new design firm, D&A Groupsynergy, Inc.
